Shiva finished his schooling from Stewart School, Bangalore, followed by National College and then studied Leather Technology at LIDKAR. He started his career with Modern Leathers a Tannery and is now Owner, Global Resource System, a sourcing company for apparel and allied products. He is an avid biker and sailor. He married Bindu in 1991 and they live in Chennai with their rescue dog Long John Silver. Bindu did her Clinical Psychology from Madras University. They have two sons Siddharth (24) and Rohan (21). Siddharth is currently doing his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Binghamton University, New York. Rohan is studying law at National Law University, Jodhpur.
