Saraswathi & Swamynath

A. Swamynath (1920), the patriarch of the Swamynath family was born and brought up in Karnataka. He enlisted in the army briefly and fought in World War II. He was by profession a Mechanical Engineer with Volkart Brothers, (which later became Voltas). He married Saraswathi (1928) of Trivandrum in 1948. They had four children, Kumar (1949), Geetha (1951), Seetha (1953) and Shiva (1963). They lived briefly in Bangalore and Bhubaneswar before putting down roots in Mandaveli, Madras.
